All our staff are thoroughly vetted prior
to any offer of employment which includes:
- Enhanced CRB check
- Driving Licence check
- Medical Health check
- Reference check
- Qualifications check
Employees who are accepted are made an
offer of employment, subject to them completing our rigorous
training (that may vary according to the job they are undertaking).
Typically, training will include:
- Universal First Aid
- Cardio pulmonary resuscitation
- Oxygen therapy adn the use of medical
gases
- Care for the blind and partially sighted
- Infection control procedures and universal
precautions
- Driving and vehicle use
- All relevant Trust policies
- All relevant Company policies
- Manual handling and patient movement
- Customer care
- Fire risk identification and situation
management

When training is complete, they undertake
practical training in the field shadowed by an experienced
member of our staff. Only when we are fully satisfied with
their competence, will they be allowed to undertake full
duties.
